Green Envelope Campaign Launched To Free Roxana Saberi

1,000,000 Green Envelopes Needed to be Sent to Iranian Embassies & U.N. from Around the World

Nashville, TN. / Teheran, Iran. May 7, 2009. Roxana Saberi is an Iranian-Japanese descendant, a female freelance journalist, and an U.S. citizen and Iranian citizen, who often covers according to different sources and Christian Newswire the conditions and plight of women in Iran. She was arrested in February 2009, and is currently being held in the notorious Evin prison close to the city of Teheran in Iran.

The charges brought up against Roxana have been in the first step that she has been accused that she might have bought a bottle of wine and surprisingly in the second step that she has been accused spying for the United States of America.

Roxana Saberi has been sentenced to eight years in prison, after a closed quick and even baseless “trial”. For twelve days she has been on a hunger strike.

Roxana (31) has covered many stories on the welfare of women in Iran, highlighting stories that cover the conditions that they deal with there. Roxana Saberi, who holds dual Iranian-American citizenship, was tried in the Revolutionary Court, which usually hears cases involving national security.

Roxana Saberi had worked as a freelance reporter for several news organizations including National Public Radio and the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Girls against porn has now launched an international campaign to free the journalist Roxana Saberi.

On their web site the association is calling all citizen and women of the world to participate the 1,000.000 Green Envelope Campaign to send an instant email to the Iranian embassies around the world and the United Nations representation with the brief message that states “RELEASE ROXANA SABERI, PLEASE.”

In addition to e-mailing the Iranian representation and embassies the association wants to get 1,000,000 green envelopes sent to the embassies and the United Nations (UN) with the following message inside:

“RELEASE INNOCENT ROXANA SABERI, PLEASE !” – send to the Iranian embassy in your country, such as the United States of America, United Kingdom, Mexico, France, Spain, European Union, Russia or any other country in this world.

The plan is to bombard the Iranian embassies across the world with green envelopes that say: “RELEASE ROXANA SABERI, now, please.” to send respectfully a clear and firm message that an innocent journalist must be released.

It is also recommended to leave a comment on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahamdinejad´s blog on www.ahadinejad.ir/en and to ask him respectfully for the RELEASE OF INNOCENT ROXANA SABERI.

People can send also a respectful note petitioning to the supreme leader of Iran, the Ayathollah Ali Khamenei on www.leader.ir/langs/en/index.php?p=letter .

Governments may use diplomatic means but that only goes so far as we have seen. As united world citizens we can make together a difference !

An international coalition of world citizens corporately, can have a huge effect on political actions and move decisions.

Radio IBS Liberty is an alternative public radio network founded in 1986 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and Speyer am Rhein, Germany, as as part of the Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty. It is an international media network with about 12 affiliated television and radio programs. Radio IBS Liberty is also known as Radio IBS Leeds.

Radio IBS Liberty and IBS Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty are independently operated, non-commercial, listener-supported radio stations in the United Kingdom and in Germany that is known for its liberal political orientation. It is operated by the IBS Independent Broadcasting Service media network with support from a small company based in London, and others.

Radio IBS Liberty is also producing educational radio and television programs for an inter-religious understanding such as faith programs about the Jewish, Muslim, Christian faith and religion and others. The idea to produce such programs in the German language and in the English language came through an inspiration through another radio program produced by BBC London (British Broadcasting Cooperation).

In 2006 the co-operation with the international independent media project Liberty and Peace NOW! Human Rights Reporters has been launched and Radio IBS Liberty providing news stories and radio programs in association with Liberty and Peace NOW! Human Rights Reporters.

As in the year of its foundation, Radio IBS Liberty is still operating under low, and even zero, budget conditions.

The radio programs have been heard by listeners from about 40 different countries.

Radio IBS Liberty has its own radio archives, housed in France, United Kingdom, Germany and other countries.

History

Early history

Radio IBS Liberty and IBS Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty which is also known as Radio IBS Leeds, IBS Television Leeds (because of the place of its foundation) was founded in 1986 by the journalist and author of five books Andreas Klamm. He is also known as a pacifist. After the completion of his entire military service with the German Air Force in 1988-1989 for 15 months he filed for conscientious objector status, which was denied by German Military authorities.

The grandfather of Andreas Klamm is the 'former FRENCH ARMY OFFICER Haedi Sabaot and a French citizen, which brought the journalist, broadcast journalist and author in a serious conflict and caused him to start to think about the situation what could happen if there would be another war between France and Germany. The French Army Officer Haedi Sabaot is missing since 1945 after World War II.

The founder of IBS Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty has joined other conscientious-objectors. Andreas Klamm is working since 1984 as a journalist, broadcast journalist, radio and television producer and author. His grandmother has left in 1950 Germany for ever and became a citizen of AUSTRALIA in the city of Melbourne, State of Victoria.

He believes that international understanding could help to avoid wars and other conflicts.

Radio IBS Liberty and IBS Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty was founded in 1986 by the journalist and author Andreas Klamm, who is still director. The service has aired its own television productions from New York City in 2001 / 2002 related to the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Some of the programs produced by IBS have been aired on different public-access television stations. Since 2006 production has largely taken place in London, Paris, and close to the city of Ludwigshafen in Germany. All productions are available at a fee as audio files for listeners want to order copies of any programs.

Der Französisch-deutsche Journalist, Rundfunk-Journalist, Autor und Redaktions-Leitung des internationalen, alternativen nicht-kommerziellen Medien-Netzwerkes IBS Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty (Radio IBS Liberty, IBS TV Liberty, seit 1986), Andreas Klamm, hat im Februar zwei neue Bücher zum Wirken und Arbeiten der mehrfach international ausgezeichneten amerikanischen Journalistin, Rundfunk-Journalistin und Autorin Amy Goodman des alternativen Fernseh- und Radio-Nachrichten-Programms „Democracy NOW“ und zur Freiheit der Presse in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika und in Europa veröffentlicht.

Amy Goodman und weitere Journalisten unter anderem auch von der internationalen Nachrichtenagentur AP (Associated Press) waren im Zusammenhang mit Bericht-Erstattungen zum Republic National Convention (RNC) in St. Paul in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika verhaftet worden.

Die amerikanische Journalistin und Rundfunk-Journalistin Amy Goodman ist eine graduierte Harvard-Universitäts-Absolventin, die seit 1984 für alternative Radio- und Fernseh-Stationen in den U.S.A. arbeitet. Sie wurde mit einer Vielzahl von international angesehenen Preisen wie etwa den Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Prize, Edwin H. Major Armstrong Award, Ruben Salazar Journalism Award und einer Vielzahl weiterer Preise für ihre internationale Friedens-Arbeit und journalistische Arbeiten in Presse, Film, Funk und Fernsehen ausgezeichnet.

Nach der Freilassung der Journalistin im September 2008 recherchierte der Journalist Andreas Klamm mehr als drei Monate zum Wirken und Arbeiten seiner Kollegin Amy Goodman, die so wörtlich als eine „echte und wahre Stimme für den Frieden und als ein gutes Beispiel für exzellenten, internationalen Journalismus bezeichnet werden kann.“

Im Dezember erhielt Amy Goodman in Stockholm in Schweden den Right Livelihood Award der Right Livelihood Foundation, ein Preis der weltweit ansehen als alternativer Nobel-Preis genießt und von dem ehemaligen Europa-Politiker Jakob von Uexkuell gegründet wurde. Andreas Klamm reiste nach Schweden und hatte die Chance bei mehreren Fernseh-Produktionen zur Verleihung des alternativen Nobel-Preises Amy Goodman und die drei weiteren Preis-Trägerinnen, Dr. Monika Hauser, Krishnammal Jagannathan (Indien) und die aus Somalia stammende Politikerin Asha Haji kennen zu lernen. Zu sehen sind die Bilder von Eltern die voller Schmerzen schreien, über den Verlust und des Todes ihrer Kinder, die von Bomben bei Luftangriffen zerrissen werden.

Im Süden von Israel schlagen Raketen ein und auch dort weinen die Eltern über den Tod ihrer Kinder.

Kaum ein Mensch wagt sich zur Zeit mit diesen Eltern zu sprechen, wie diese Mütter und Väter über den Tod ihrer Kinder fühlen und was diese denken. Dazu ist die Zeit vielleicht auch zu früh.

Oder sollten vielleicht gerade jetzt die Interviews mit diesen Eltern gesendet werden um das sinnlose Morden und Blutvergießen in Palästina und Israel möglichst bald zu beenden?

Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass ein Waffen-Stillstand zwischen Palästina und Israel bald erreicht werden kann, um das nicht notwendige Leid und die humanitäre Katastrophe im Angesicht sich anbahnender Klima- Natur- Umwelt- Katastrophen, globaler Hungersnot, globaler Finanzkrisen, der AIDS/HIV-Seuche in Afrika und Asien und entstehender Wasser-Knappheit zu beenden.

Über den Tod spricht kaum ein Mensch in Deutschland und wenn, dann doch oft mit beklemmten Gefühlen. Um zu diesem Tabu-Thema zu recherchieren muss man nicht in ferne Länder reisen.

Auch in Deutschland verlieren Eltern ihre Kinder, nicht immer durch Krieg, doch auch in diesen Situationen muss hart gekämpft werden. Jennifer hat bis zur letzten Minute hart gekämpft gegen eine tödliche Krebs-Erkrankung. Sie war 15 Jahre als die Diagnose Krebs gestellt wurde. Es folgten zwei Chemo-Therapien, Bestrahlungen und eine neunstündige Operation. Trotz kaum vorstellbarer schwerster Schmerzen kämpfte Jennifer hart, fast wie eine junge Löwin, macht irgendwo zwischen Kinder-Krebs-Station, Chemo-Therapien, Bestrahlung und einer neunstündigen Operation ihren Schulabschluss mit Erfolg. Sie will Web-Designerin werden und schreibt ein Buch. Es entsteht ein Krebs-Tage-Buch.

Die Veröffentlichung ihres Buches "Ich will nicht, dass ihr weint" gelingt Jennifer Cranen nicht mehr selbst. Ihr letzter Wille an ihre Mutter Maria-Anna Cranen und an ihren Vater, "Bitte veröffentlicht das Buch und mit den Einnahmen soll der Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe geholfen werden."

Mein Engagement seit dem Jahr 2000 auch Projekte für Krebs-kranke Kinder in der Arbeit als Journalist, Autor mehrerer Bücher und Rundfunk-Journalist zu unterstützen hat eine Vielzahl von Gründen. Mein Engagement hat sich im Jahr 2004 verstärkt, als mir mein damaliger Hausarzt sagte, es ist nicht auszuschliessen, dass ich an einem seltenen Tumor erkrankt sein könnte, nach dem er verschiedene Labor-Werte prüfte und Untersuchungen durchführte.

Doch statt zu resignieren und zu verzweifeln geschahen sehr sonderbare Dinge, die mich zum Handeln bewegten: Rund 12 Monate nach dem Verdacht meines ehemaligen Hausarztes, dass ich an einem Tumor erkrankt sein könnte, hatte ich nur wenig finanzielle Einkünfte.

Die Folge: Keine Kranken-Versicherung. Seit mehr als 20 Monaten habe ich keinen Zugang mehr zum Arzt oder einem Zahnarzt. Der Verdacht auf eine Tumor-Erkrankung ist immer noch nicht ausgeschlossen. Ohne Geld sind keine Arzt-Untersuchungen möglich. Die Hoffnung bleibt bald in New York ärztliche Hilfe zu finden. Doch bereits im Jahr 2004 entschloss ich mich, nicht zu resignieren. Auch ich habe Wünsche nach New York City zu reisen und wenn es sein muss gegen eine mögliche Krebs-Erkrankung zu kämpfen und auf die Nöte von schwerst kranken Menschen, deren Familien, Freunde und Angehörige, Grundrechte, soziale Sicherheit, das Menschenrecht auf medizinische Versorgung bei Arzt der Wahl und Menschenrechte aufmerksam zu machen und Hilfe zu leisten wo es möglich ist. Dafür lohnt sich zu kämpfen, Menschen zu helfen, ungeachtet wie die Diagnose der Ärzte in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika sein mag.

Die Eltern zu treffen und offen über eines der schlimmsten Erreignisse zu sprechen, das Eltern geschehen kann, der Verlust eines Kindes, ist mir auch mit der 24jährigen Berufs-Erfahrung als Journalist nicht leicht gefallen. Eine sekundäre Ausbildung als staatlich geprüfter Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger, durch welche ich in 18 Jahren Arbeit in der Pflege sehr oft auch Menschen pflegen musste, bei denen nur noch eine palliative Pflege möglich war, hat mir bei der Produktion des Fernseh-Filmes zum Buch von Jennifer Cranen sehr geholfen. Das Engagement des Ehepaares Maria-Anna und Hans-Jospeh Cranen für die Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe ist für mich sehr beeindruckend und es ist gut zu sehen, dass auch in besonderen Zeiten, Hilfe für Kinder und Eltern doch noch möglich ist.

die Freilassung unserer zuvor verhafteteten Journalisten-Kollegen und Kolleginnen einsetzte. Wir alle sind Amy Goodman für ihren Mut und ihr Engagement für die Meinungs- Presse- und Informations-Freiheit sehr dankbar.

New York / London / Berlin. The author and artist Michael Heise is fighting for human rights since 40 years. About 40 years ago in 1968 he has founded the human right organization Per Aspera in the city of Giessen in Germany. He is a member of Amnesty international and the American Civil Liberty Union (ACLU) and other famous organizations throughout the world.

The human right organization Per Aspera is active in North America, Asia, Pakistan and in Germany. Michael Heise is an author of several books and artist. Some of his paintings and pictures are exhibited in the Museum for Modern Art in New York City in the United States of America.

In December 2008 in co-operation with Amnesty international and other human right organization Per Aspera´s Michael Heise wants to give away 100.000 white roses in the „White Roses Campaign in the city of Berlin in Germany in memory of 100.000 victims which got killed because of the abuses of the human rights in 2008. The journalist Andreas Klamm from Radio IBS Liberty, Independent Broadcasting Service Liberty had a chance for an interview on the phone with the founder of the human right organization Michael Heise which has been in correspondence with Nelson Mandela, former governor and the president of the United States of America, Bill Clinton and the millionaire Samuel Walton. He had the chance to meet also Shirley MacLaine and used to live for 20 years in the United States of America and has been there the owner of some business.

Michael Heise has studied literature the Stanford University in the United States of America and has studied law with the University of Giessen in Germany. He believes it is an important duty to take action to defend human rights and liberty and he is not happy with the human right situation in many different country.
